This is my 2nd flight flying the Duchess BE-76 Multi-Engine aircraft. Have become very comfortable flying it switching from a Single-Engine Glass Diamond to this, I must say! My classmates Boris Forey, Michael Sat, Amir Kia and I were given a full on full day tour of Brisbane International Air Traffic Center and Airport Control Tower yesterday by Gold Coast Airport’s ATC Boss himself Mr. Martin Simpkins. Thanks so much Martin for the AMAZING tour, we learned so much on what its like from the OTHER end of the Mic. Bridging the gap between Pilots and Controllers. Pics in my Picasa!

So I manage to score 85% for my IREX Theory. Worked real hard for it and am pleased with the results. Although one would reckon it could be mistaken for an English exam rather than an instrument exam! Uploaded some new pics post my Commercial Pilot’s License. Great having an actual license to fly which I can make money with and all, but I am so far from feeling that I know anything let alone everything! Will be commencing my multi-engine twin endorsement and instrument rating next week! Wish me luck. Gulp!
Finally! I am now a fully licensed commercial pilot! Hehe. It was an awesome flight exam, the Chief Pilot cum CASA Licensed Flight Examiner Capt. Dave Hargreaves really put me in my place! Learned so much, and a lot more to learn too! Next is my MECIR! Lets goo…..
I am closing on towards the final stages of my commercial pilots license. This is the home run people! Over the next 2-3 weeks, I will be going into psychotic-study mode. Once I become a commercial pilot, I’m being told, I will supposedly never fly VFR/Visual again. Gulp! Here is a link to the pics on my picasa.
I flew formation with my course mates to Hervey Bay and back from the Gold Coast. A good 2 hours up and another 2 down. Flew at 9500’ over the coastline/sea. Was a great experience, never did formation before. You should have heard us talking as if we were F1-11s on our own frequency. Haha. Hilarious!
Since its starting to come back into summer here on the Gold Coast, the weather has been getting really iffy lately. Which is good in a way I guess, being able to experience all kinds of weather and crazy conditions alas, those bumps in the sky ain’t fun! Here are some pics for you. Enjoy!
Back to the skies! I am in my final month of Commercial training. If all goes well, I should be a commercial pilot by this time next month.
